Alan November - Student's Learning

Alan commented that we are not creating lifelong learners; we are not helping students become problem solvers. I think to do this that I need to engage my students by helping them see real life applications to what they are learning in my class. I think I do this some by having them create their own story problems in class and then having others solve them. They take pride in their work and like create challenges for each other. Students can often learn better when they become the teacher and must develop a deeper understanding of a subject matter in order to teach someone else.

5th Grade Math

I have come to find out about how I can use blogs and podcasting to help my students become more excited about school and learning. I want to reach out to them using a medium that they are going to needto become proficient in, if they aren't already. I hope to challenge them and excite them about technology.
